Using UltraSound (Real-time ultrasound - R.T.U) methods with sows is common
nowadays and is the most precise and most rapid method to make a diagnostic as early
as the 19th day of gestation.
In general, using an UltraSound reduces up to 10 to 20 improductive days per sow per
year, a value of $ 2,50 CAN per improductive day.
