- The supplement for reproductive boars added to gestating feed as a
top dress enables to meet the nutritional requirements of boars used
for quality sperm production (concentration, volume, motility).
- BS-300, sold in 20 Kg bags, contributes to supply specific
nutrients (trace-elements, Omega 3 fatty acid, etc.) required for a
rich and balanced diet of reproductive boars.
- Farms of 20 boars and more, should make their boar feed with the
BS-5% macro-premix. Issued from Idena's research and technical

- A macro-premix in order to produce reproductive boar feed that
enables to meet the nutritional requirements of boars which are used
for quality sperm production (concentration, volume, motility).
- BS-5%, sold in 25 Kg bags, is rich in trace-elements, vitamins,
amino-acids, choline and Omega 3 fatty acids.
- Farms of less than 20 boars should use the BS-300 supplement as

- BS 5 % (Pre-Mix) : 50 kg per metric ton of feed. Ask our technical
consultants for a more specific formulation accordingly to your boars
and your feed. Is specially formulated for Boar Studs of 20 boars and
more.
- BS 300 (Top-Dress) : distributed to boars (300 g / day) in
"top dress" instead of feed. BS has to be given 2 monthes before the
boar produces semen. Reduce feed if there is excess fat. Is specially
formulated for piggeries of less than 20 boars.
- Notice: On 3kg of daily feed intake given to one boar, 2,7 kg is
made of feed and 0,3 kg of BS-300.

- Accordingly to a study made on 170 pure breed boars at a A.I.
Centre trial France in 2002, a semen production increase of 11 % was
observed for all boars fed with BS. A.I. doses produced also increased
by 10 % with BS.

- Accordingly to a study made on a farm of 600 sows in Quebec Canada,
a significant difference on sow productivity was observed with BS -
0,64 more piglets born alive with BS and a drop of 130 to 90 sows not
fertilized.
